Were you looking for Diana (Saga Frontier 2)?
Diana (ディアナ Deiana?) is a playable character from Romancing SaGa and its remake, Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song. She was born in Rosalia and can be found in Godongo and Oapu.
She is Albert's sister and was to be wed to Prince Neidhart, until monsters besieged Isthmus Keep. She is the daughter of Lord Rudolf and Lady Mariah and is found in the town of Godongo. She cannot be recruited if Albert is in the player's party, and she cannot be recruited at all if playing as Albert, since his story is focused on his search for her.
She is voiced in Japanese by Satsuki Yukino and in English by Michelle Ruff in the remake.
Profile[edit]
Appearance[edit]
Diana is a blonde woman sporting a long orange dress, though her battle sprite shows her wearing what seems to be purple armor, white pants, and pink boots.
In Minstrel Song, Diana has a more detailed design, while retaining her blonde hair, she now wears a cyan dress with dark blue sleeves, red and yellow blocked markings, and what seems to be a ribbon from her shoulder to her sides. She wears dark blue socks and yellow heels.
Personality[edit]
In the Isthmus keep library, it has been described that Diana used to make Albert cry when they were children.
Story[edit]
Diana is first seen during Albert's story, directing him in the game's basic functions. Her, Albert, and two guards go into the cave nearby in order for Albert to slay the monster lurking there as a rite of adulthood. However, an army of monsters attacks Isthmus Keep, causing the two to be seperated. She is briefly controlled by the player in a battle she is destined to lose. Then, she is lost to Albert's party forever. Her ultimate fate depends on the make-up of Albert's party. If Neidhart is not within the party, Diana is revealed to be very much alive, sheltered in Neidhart's Castle during the player's battle with Saruin, acting on behalf of a desperate Constance. If Neidhart is within the party, Albert will come to terms with Diana's possible death and move on. Her canon fate is currently unknown.
Gameplay[edit]
Appearances[edit]
- Albert's Scenario: Part of the initial party, but permanently leaves after "Monsters to the East"
- Other scenario: Recruitable from Godongo or Oapu as long as you don't have Albert in your party.

Battle (Minstrel Song)[edit]
Diana, upon recruitment, carries her Queen Sword (Power: 18) with her, which functions as a Short Sword, and is always equipped on her person. Her starting class, Rosalian Lancer, allows her to act quickly if fighting in Trick Mode, thus goading the player to have her focused on acting quickly. She is the best with the Dexterity statistic, though she can use brute strength if she has to. Her Magic capability is low, so she will not make a decent mage.

- Recommendation
Hail Diana, one of the best General Sword users alongside Leon and Annie. Her stats may begin quite low, but she flashes arts like mad and grows very fast in all statuses. Her only flaw is shared with Annie, they can't use any magic, so, Leon is still the best General Sword user. Her Emperor variant is even better since she us strong and versatile. But the best Club user is Imperial Guard Diana(King) because of higher attack and defense.

Trivia[edit]
- If the player goes to the town of Bruelle and runs near the blocked part of town (guards will halt your progress) they will see Diana pacing back and forth in the area beyond. Since the player can never interact with this part of town in either quest or battle, this is most likely a glitch that was overlooked in the game's final development.
- It is not possible to recruit Diana if your main character is Albert or if Albert is in your party.
