Marda (マルダー?) is a character from Romancing SaGa and its remake, Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song. He is the creator of the continent of Mardias. His wife is Saiva and their known offspring is Elore.
Marda is the Father of Elore. It is also believed that he is the father of Death, Schirach, Saruin and Nisa. As well as other Gods, many of which are unnamed and are believed to have died in the battle of the Gods. In actuality, Death, Schirach and Saruin are the products of Saiva's demise.

Appearance[edit]
Marda sports a silver blue winged helmet and what seems to be a very puffy blue cloak with purple undertones, all with a wind design. Besides that, he has blonde/brown hair, a mustache and an extremely long beard that reaches his middle torso, possibly more.
Personality[edit]
Not much is known about Marda besides the fact he was the husband of Saiva and that they at some point went against eachother and started the War of the Gods.
Story[edit]
During the War of the Gods, Marda and Saiva created Gods together and waged continuous war upon one another. It was not until Saiva created Elore that the war had found itself in Marda's favor. Elore sided with Marda and defeated Saiva, supposedly ending the war. However, Saiva's remnants began to create a new kind of evil as Death, Schirach and Saruin manifested from her remains. The three would go on to continue the war and ravage Mardias.
He was the also the creator of many of the ancient and most powerful races in Mardias such as the Giants and Dragons. Many of whom have now gone extinct in the war between the Three Gods of Evil. It is also believed that the battle took the life of Marda himself. All that remains of Marda is his Legacy which are his children and the world he left behind which is now being governed by Elore.
It is apparent that the Giants seemed to have fought on Marda's behalf, as they are the only race that seems to have memories of him. They have created powerful items in his honor, predominately the Hand of Marda.
