Giants
The Giants are a race of people in The SaGa series They are, as their name suggests, gigantic in comparison the Humans, the Gecklings and The Taralians.
SaGa 2: Hihou Densetsu[edit]
In SaGa 2, the Giants were a race of people that previously had a giant town of their own, complete with fully modeled furniture. They however wanted to be more like all the other people of the world, and so they created a special potion to shrink in size, Micron, which allowed them to blend in with everyone else. An example is Johnny, a fellow who at first seems like a regular citizen, until a shop clerk reveals he gets some giant equipment from him, and that he was previously a Giant, who is now under the effects of micron.
Romancing SaGa[edit]
In Romancing SaGa and it's remake, Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song They are hidden in the secret city of Audburg, where they contain the best equipment in the game, including the items of the Elemental lords, possibly all sacred items of the Gods, and every single spell in the game.
They keep themselves away from human society and view them as inferior, noting the protagonist's height when they first arrive. They wish to not partake in the fight against Saruin nor support the people who do, because they believe the Gods are using them for their own sake. After the protagonist gives the chief of the town a speech, he realises that the Gods do actually care about their creations, unlocking access to the rest of the town's shops.
