Labelle (ラベール Rabēru?) is a character in SaGa Frontier 2. She is first seen in the scenario, Beyond Grand Valley - 1246. Labelle is searching for her missing brother William. She joins Wil Knights and accompanies him to Weissland, where she indeed finds her long-lost brother. She is a much stronger character than her brother William.

Gameplay[edit]

Labelle has low HP and average WP and SP growth. She has high aptitude in Bow Weapon Arts and Water and Tree Spell Arts. She begins with the Marksman Role. She does have a high SP Regen rate at 3 points making her ideal for a mage build. She is an excellent replacement for Narcisse's role in the party by the time she joins due to her better stat growth and having one of the highest growth in Bows.

Labelle is a competent fighter who makes great use of Bow Weapon Arts and her knack for Water and Tree Spell Arts makes her a prime candidate for healing and support magic. She is only available for two scenarios, but can easily pull her weight with the right team around her. Due to her good SP regen she is a prime candidate for Hybrid Arts which can take advantage of her Bow and magic strengths.

It should be noted that Labelle has a higher probability than most characters to learn the Call Thunder Spell Art. So players struggling to get this spell to appear may want to spend time with Labelle in Dual Mode to try and get this spell to glimmer if they have some Tone-centric materials to spare.

Her best Roles are Marksmen, Recover, and Support.

Trivia[edit]

  • Labelle will become Wil's wife and mother of Rich Knights if the player chooses Cordelia to go to the City of Night in the scenario "Infiltrate! Alexei Gang".
  • The authors admit that they originally did intend to make Labelle the canonical wife of Wil, but due to lack of time, she was not given enough development for that to be acceptable. Most fans of the game generally interpret Cordelia to be Wil's beloved.
  • While SaGa Frontier 2 largely draws from Germanic influence and clothing design, Labelle is the only character who is based off of a French design. Her name is also French, literally meaning "beauty".
