Meythia (ミーティア・シーン, Mītia Shīn^?), also known as Meythia (ミーティア, Mītia^?), is a character from SaGa Frontier 2. Meythia is a pupil of Ventarbre, who adores her teacher. She joins Wil Knights as part of her education and battles the Egg together with Wil. Meythia is a quiet, surprisingly strong-willed young woman.

Story

Meythia is first introduced to Ginny as Ventarbre's pupil. As he begins to see the real dangers of the world concerning Fake Gustave and The Egg, he asks Meythia to join Ginny's group to help them defeat the Egg once and for all.

Gameplay

Assessment

Meythia is the last member to join Ginny and the final playable character in SaGa Frontier 2. She boasts an impressive 500 HP, a number no other character comes close to beginning with, and is skilled with Axes as well as Stone, Tone and Beast magic. Her WP Regeneration is tied with Wil and Roberto as the lowest of the final party with only a single point per round. Her SP regeneration is a better two points which can be boosted with the right gear.

Meythia is built as a late game replacement for Tyler from Wil's scenario having a high proficiency with Axes and less common magics like Beast. She is tied with Gustave XIII with the highest HP growth in the game. Her biggest hurdle is a combination of arriving so late in the game that the player is limited in building her up. Additionally, Axes have some powerful skills but this is compensated by the rarity of good axe weapons in the late game. Her WP regeneration is low and her WP growth is below average for a melee character. Her Axe skill is quite high and if you manage to spark enough high end Axe techs, she can potentially mitigate her low WP regeneration by simply ending battle quickly with one or two techs.

Her two best magic classes are Stone and Beast, but Ginny, Roberto, Primera, and Wil have equal or higher proficiency and builds that can take advantage of this better than she can. Hurting her further is that her SP growth is also below average. Her greatest asset is simply the fact she arrives with higher than average stats than most characters making her easy to throw into a party if you have to, but she's fairly average for the group she's available for.

Meythia is best utilized as a tank in her party to take advantage of her high HP and growth. The player can either overload her with Steel equipment and give her roles that allow her to take point better or they can try a more balanced approach and utilize her magic potential as a mage warrior.

While this shows she has a lot of promise in the party, Meythia joins so late that many players choose to forego training her and instead use her as a reserve ally against one of the Elemental Lords that can be Dueled in the final dungeon. She's still a powerful character in her own right, so it's purely a matter of preference.
