Ward (ウォード Wado?), also known as Wood in the fan-translation, is a recruitable character from Romancing SaGa 3.
He can be recruited from Justerm.

Appearance[edit]
Ward is a hunter who wears a stylish red hat, a pair of goggles, a bronze chestplate with lots of star symbols on it, spiky bronze shoulderpads, silver leggings, and spiky shoes. Alongside that, he's sporting a yellow cloak with similar star markings as his armor, though this is absent in his sprites.
Personality[edit]
Ward is shown to be a compotent hunter, only showing signs of difficulty in his profeciency when monsters are wrecking havoc on the mountains, stealing all the prey.
Story[edit]
Ward is a hunter who works on the northern regions near Justerm. When first met, Ward will offer a job to go to the Ice Lake and defeat the monsters there before the hunting season (If you're playing with Harid you may have difficulty triggering this event depending on what you did, as Ward will comment on his greediness). Such event is necessary to trigger the Aurora Borialis and unlock the snowman village. After this Ward will return to Justerm, where he offers to join the party to get some money.

Ward is a dedicated tank character, as he have a very high defense and is very slow. Because of this, he is perfect to wear full-body armors and be placed in the center of defensive formations. Ward is also skilled with big-swords.
