Mage for Hire
Mage for Hire is one of the playable classes in Romancing SaGa 2.
The Mages for Hire focus mainly on earth magic (terrology). Though they aren't the best casters in the game, they have decent speed, which can be specially useful early on. They start off with a Quarterstaff, which has the special tech Halt on it, used to stun all enemies.
Mages for Hire are human and can be either male or female, and both can be recruited at Avalon's research laboratory after it's built.
Male Mage for Hire[edit]
Besides earth magic, the male Mage for Hire also specializes in water magic.
Regulus is a martial artist; Algol, Canopus and Procyon are clubsmen; Rigel is a bowsman, and Vega is the fastest and strongest mage of the group (with 13 LP to boot).

Female Mage for Hire[edit]
Much like their male counterpart, their casting abilities are actually not as high as their fellow Court Mages. Unlike their male counterpart, however, they come with fire magic instead of water magic.
Lily and Ivy are fencers and Magnolia is a martial artist, while Iris wins as the strongest mage.
