Kappelia (カッペリア) is the prototype of Coppelia. She was invented by Hiraga III during Gerard’s reign as Emperor in SaGa THE STAGE: Return of the Seven Heroes, where she was first introduced as a minor character in the world of Romancing SaGa 2. She is portrayed as a clumsy and awkward automaton with a bad sense of humor.[1][2]
Story[edit]
After Gerard’s retinue defeats Kzinssie in Somon, they encounter the inventor Hiraga III who offers his latest invention Kappelia to assist them. They politely decline after viewing Kappelia's demonstration, prompting Hiraga III to continue his research.

Kappelia is referenced in Romancing SaGa Re;univerSe as the name of Hiraga XVIII’s imperial submarine Cappelia (カッペリア), which he created by modifying the battleship from his world that the strategist Shiyuan built as a decoy to defeat Bokhohn.[3]
