Anima Faith Fiasco (1256) is the # 9th scenario of Wil Knights' side of the story in SaGa Frontier 2.

"Wil goes off to the Ruins of Hahn Nova upon hearing rumours of the Anima Faith and the Egg"

Upon hearing rumours of a strange cult, possibly linked to the Egg, Wil and the gang venture back into the Ruins of Hahn Nova in search of clues in it's deepest chambers...

Timeline[edit]

Preceeded: Tycoon Wil, At the Mines (Collapse), The Firebrand Tragedy (Gustave)

Unlocks: Wil vs. Egg, Johan the Assassin (Gustave)*, The General's Memories (Gustave)*, The Southern Fort (Gustave)

(* If there are less than 3 hitherto completed scenarios on the world map)

Objective[edit]

Back in Westia you learn of the Anima Faith cult in the nearby Ruins of Hahn Nova by talking to the locals. Make sure you speak to Raymond, the man in blue in the Inn, who will willingly join your party. Make your way to the Ruins of Hahn Nova and head back underground (where you found the Kris Knife in "Wil's Departure").

Feel free to fight around here, especially the Blue Skeleton and Land Urchin from before. You can return to Westia if neceassry to heal up, or buy/sell items.

When you are ready head through the northern archway near the Blue Skeleton room (4-way intersection cluttered with frogs), as you can now access this portion of the Ruins. Some of the rooms and passageways are currently blocked by followers of the Anima Faith so explore where you can.

Collect the 500 Crowns from next to the stairs and head up to talk to the follower blocking the door here. Head back down the stairs and continue right to a new screen. Head down to the water level and under the arch to another screen containing a pair of Alligator Shoes. Head back, then go up the stairs and right to be above the Alligator Shoes path. There should be an Ark Stone lying around up here, then head back down to the water level and head back left to pick up an Ark Stone.

Return to the previous screen and enter the door in the middle right of the screen to a new area. Head straight up the stairs then right to enter the High Priest's chamber. Upon nearing the Priest you do not notice the aura of the Egg.

Meanwhile, King Gustave XIII's troops are taking position outside the ruins. The soverign orders them to take no prisoners; Gustave suspects that the cult were responsible for the death of his nephew, Phillipe.

This causes the followers to panic, allowing you full access to all the rooms. Head back out and down a screen. Descend the stairs but now enter the left room to pick up 1713 Crowns. Head back out and down, then enter the top right room to find 1858 Crowns.

Now head all the way back to the start of the new area and enter the door left of the stairs to pick up 1429 Crowns. When you have grabbed all the treasure you want, head up the stairs where you sense the presence of the Egg. The follower blocking this door has now moved so enter and continue down the hallway to see the Priest fleeing. Before you can give chase you get attacked by three Red Mermen, which shouldn't be hard to defeat. Although you are less than happy to let the presence of the Egg escape, you cannot stand up to an entire army and must flee.
