Making use of his greater numbers, the King deploys a separate force under the command of Cantal. This unit circles behind Gustave's lines and attacks his army from behind. However, when Gustave's army notices this movement it draws back and camouflages itself on Zahl Peak.

Gustave XIII's army joins forces with those led by the Count of Jade. The Count arrives in the nick of time. The two armies attack Cantal's separate force, forcing him to retreat from battle. Spurred on by the retreat at Zahl Peak, the King's army gives chase. The armies of both Gustave's clash on Buckethill, near the Ruins of Hahn. the day on which Gustave's destiny will come to pass has begun.

The Battle[edit]

  • Victory Conditions: Defeat King Gustave XIV unit
  • Defeat Conditions: Line of defence broken, Gustave XIII unit defeated
  • Troops: Gustave unit, Kelvin unit, Nebelstern unit, Infantry unit x2

Although out-numbered do not waste time or troops fighting the King's outlying army. You should concentrate on pursuing and attacking King Gustave XIV's unit only, attacking in successive battles where possible until he is defeated.

After the battle you will witness the aftermath of the battle within the Ruins of Hahn, where Gustave, Kelvin and Nebelstern come to a conclusion with what to do with the King.

Notes[edit]

  • This is the first Field Battle scenario, whereby you control groups of unit in RTS style combat.
