Into the Northern Continent (1306) is the # 25th scenario of Wil Knights' side of the story in SaGa Frontier 2.

"After the Battle of South Moundtop, the Egg disappears..."

Timeline[edit]

Preceeded: Battle of South Moundtop

Unlocks: The Last Megalith

Objective[edit]

In Thermes you hear of the villains having fled to the Northern Continent by boat. Make use of this final shopping opportunity to prepare your characters before heading to North Gate, only to be told the gang has moved on to Settlement.

There is no sign of either Fake Gustave or the Egg, so do whatever you want in Settlement. Arrange your party and equipment as you will have to fight 4 battles in a row, ending with a tough boss enemy. When ready head west out of Settlement (on the way to the "Insect Megalith").

The first 3 attacks are (fairly) random groups of monsters. Inbetween each fight you will have the chance to re-arrange Arts and positions, but NOT access the item menu (for Ark Stones). After defeating the first 3 groups you will now face the formidable Megalith Dragon.

Make sure you recover whatever HP you are missing from the previous fights as the Dragon's attacks are fierce. It will use "Plunge" (+Cripple) or "Draconian Slicer" (+Deathblow) in the 4th round so make sure you are both fully healed and have multiple characters with Life Water and Recovery Breath available. Due to it's high HP it is best to attack the Dragon with Combo Attacks in an attempt to shorten the battle's duration.

When the Megalith Dragon is killed it will reveal the entrance to "The Last Megalith" and the Egg.

Characters[edit]

Notable Items[edit]

  • Firebrand - Flame Quell, 30 ATK, Increase Cold defence, Flame Sword (2 SP), Auto-equipped on Gustaf
  • Uroborus - Water Tool, 55 ATK, Water (2 SP), Highest ATK spear, chance to drop from Megalith Dragon
  • Dominant Gloves - 12 DEF, Not Steel despite the icon, Highest DEF gloves

Notable Enemies[edit]

  • Megalith Dragon (boss) - 31,122 HP, 250 LP, Uses "Plunge" (+Cripple) or "Draconian Slicer" (+Deathblow) in the 4th round

Notes[edit]

  • This is the last possible chance to shop for equipment before the end of the game so spend whatever you have left preparing your characters.
