Guardian (守護者) is an enemy from Romancing SaGa 2. It appears as the boss guarding the Eirunep Shrine in the north of Eirunep. Despite its giant-like appearance, Guardian is considered as Earth Elemental.

Guardian is extremely powerful enemies can kill any characters with its brutal physical attack or wipe out the entire party with its powerful Poisonous Mist which its prefered to use more often than the physical attacks.

Guardian also immuned to the most status ailments, But just like the mostly giant-type enemies, Guardian can be stunned by the means of Knee Split, Feint and Trip skills along with the Entangle, Cyclone Twist and Wracking spells.

Guardian also has a good sparking rate enough to easily glean many high-tier skills, and it is the only source of Haulteclaire, the powerful Greatsword with Coup De Grace as the unique skill.
