Romancing SaGa 2[edit]
You're welcome, thanks for the RS2 edits so far, that side of the Wiki is sorely lacking at the moment. I've never played RS2 so I know nothing about the game, but in answer to your questions:
"1. Do you have any preferred formats for exhibiting character data?"
- Usually character's are represented on their own individual page with a template info-box (containing picture, name, age, main weapon etc) and accompanying text about their background, what game they're in, stats, equipment etc. Two examples so far are: Musol Yanii and Albert.
- It shouldn't be too difficult to set up a new character-template if there are a set number of variables (name, HP, stats, weapon/magic).
"2. ...monster data ... However, we run into the same problem of it taking a crap ton of time."
- Yeah, again it'd be nice to have them sorted by category/type and then individual table/info-box for each with picture, HP/LP, attacks, item drops etc and there's no easy way of doing it that I know of beside doing them 1 at a time... which is why I've still not gotten around to doing all the monster data from SaGa Frontier 2 even though I have it all.
"3. I'm thinking about adding a tech sparking section. It's already written up in my wiki, so it should just be a copy and paste job. If that's cool with you, I'll get on that later on this week."
- I see you've already done this, but it's fine with me anyway, good job! I'll take a look at it and add links etc if that's okay with you, I don't want to intrude on your entries when I know nothing about the game!
"4. really all of this would be MASSIVELY easier if there is a way to do with databasing. But I don't have the technical know how to pull that off. Do you have any ideas?"
- Unfortunately I don't know of any easy way to do it all besides just spending loads of time making loads of edits. My Wiki/formatting skills are limited to anything I've picked up while being here and I've not done anything that adventurous yet. It took me about a week of single edits to do character pages for Unlimited Saga, let alone all the other stuff I've added since I joined the Wiki. Protector Wind (talk) 10:10, August 3, 2012 (UTC)
