Isthmus Keep is an impregnable fort Ruled by Lord Rudolf and Lady Maria in the game Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song. It is Guarded by many elite soldiers of Rosalia which include Albert and Diana the children of Rudolf. The Isthmus lies on disputed lands between Bafal and Rosalia. It gaurds Rosalia from invasion from Loban the domain of Duke Cornelio (Duke Loban). Unbeknownst to the many Isthmus Keep houses a dark history. The keep lies directly above Queitus the Altar that Saruin was sealed. Diana and Albert lead a campaigne to exterminte monsters that are in a cave nearby the keep which posed a threat. Rudolf had historians investigate the cave prior to the campaigne due to the fact that it bears strange similarities to the the place of sealing mentioned in historical texts. He reports his finding to King Karl. After returning successful Prince Neidhart arrives to request Diana's hand in marraige. After the Prince leaves and the clebration began. An army of monsters attacked, Lord Rudolf sends Diana and Albert to seek aid from the Crystal City. During their absence the the Keep fell. The Lord Rudolf and Lady Maria and the Soldiers of the Keep killed ten times there number but fell in battle and the Istmus was lost. Saruin's Minions attacked the Keep to ensure the revival. Rosalia and Bafal has now amassed armies along the borders of the Isthmus. After the final battle with the wicked God when he was defeated he destroys everything around him which destroyed the Isthmus as well submrging most of it into the sea
