One of the more confusing aspects of Re;univerSe is how the differentiation of Characters and Styles are handled. In order to understand this article, consider Styles to be unique equipment that a Character can equip, further increasing their combat prowess. It is important to note that when you are pulling on the Gacha, you are pulling for specific Styles.

Characters[edit]

Characters are the base units that can equip Styles to further bolster their abilities. Characters share the same parameters across all of their Styles, with those parameters being:

  • Gender
  • Stats (HP, STR, END, DEX, AGI, INT, WIL, LOV, CHA)
  • Style EXP
  • Skill Pool

Styles[edit]

Styles can be equipped to a Character and greatly alter its abilities. Equipping Katarina with her Style S - "Masquerade" grants her a more debuff-orientated build, while her Style SS - "Leave it to Me!" focuses more on dealing damage. Each Style is unique and brings diversity towards a character, influencing the following parameters:

  • Weapon Type (Sword, Greatsword, Axe, etc.)
  • Spell Affinity (Fire, Water, Light, etc.)
  • Elemental Resistance
  • Style Level
  • Stat Bonuses
    • Each Style has a unique stat bonus percentage as well as flat value bonus (95% + 15 int means a (Base int)*95% + 15 intelligence boost). Higher rarity Styles tend to bring higher multipliers along with them.
  • Growth Rates
    • Stats that increase after a battle can be influenced by an equipped Style, with some Styles favoring a particular stat over others. For example. Azami's SS Style "Light Armor is Important" has a higher growth tendency towards AGI. However her A Style "Want a Taste of Ninjutsu" has higher growth tendencies towards STR, AGI and CHA. It is a general rule of thumb that you want to equip lower rarity styles when you are grinding to increase your chance of boosting a particular stat as they tend to have better growth rates
  • Skills/Spells
    • Each style comes with 3 moves. Generally, the first skill has a low power/BP Cost, the second has a medium power/BP cost and the third has a large power/BP Cost. Whenever a Skill/Spell is learned in a Style it goes to the Character's Skill Pool, and can then be equipped to any Style the Character equips as an inherited skill.
    • Style's also include passive abilities unlock progressively as you level the Style, with the last one unlocking at level 30. These abilities range from inflicting ailments each battle start to having more damage at 100% HP, or dealing more damage when doing a certain damage a boss is weak against.

Style Levels[edit]

Once you gain enough Style EXP you may go to the Dojo to Enhance a Style. This will boost the stat bonuses given to you by the style as well as unlocking unique passives that can be reviewed here. The EXP required to level a Style increases exponentially, with higher rarity Styles being more difficult to level. Initially the level cap is 30 but that can be unlocked via Training.

Style Level Cap Unlock[edit]

In order to raise the level cap of a Style you must acquire gold pieces, these can be unique to the Style themselves (which can be obtained by pulling a dupe) or through generic gold pieces you gain from missions. You can also gain unique Style gold pieces through the use of Training at the Dojo, with one gold piece being given every 5 hours to those units that have been assigned to training.
