The Steward is a boss encountered in The Final Fantasy Legend.
Story[edit]
The Steward is first met in the Castle of the King of Shields. Like many of the guards in the place, he is rude and dismissive of the party telling them to not bother the king. In truth he a deceptive man who is secretly conspiring to kill the king and take the King's Shield for himself.
When the party encounters him again later, his assassination is complete and he leaves with the shield and plans to place the band on the heroes. The party follow him through a secret passage where they battle him and defeat him, claiming the shield for themselves.
Battle[edit]
The Steward is a simple and straightforward battle, his primary means of fighting is using a Colt revolver which does minor damage. His low health makes this an easy battle compared to the previous boss fights and the King's Sword makes this fight even more easy.
Trivia[edit]
- Steward uses the basic Magician sprite.
- By extension, his appearance is very similar to that of Apollo.
- He is the first character in the game to reveal the existence of guns within the world since it's his weapon of choice.
- Unlike the guards, the Steward will not eject you from the castle by talking to him, instead he asks you to not bother the king and instead leave the premises.
