Legendary Leviathan

Legendary Leviathan is a side-quest in Unlimited Saga, available from Gadeira.

Objective[edit]

There is supposed to be a legendary creature living in a hidden lake somewhere up the Sevenfold Tail, and you are intent on catching it. You first need to find the hidden entrance to Phantom Lake and then locate the Leviathan at the lake.

Head up the Sevenfold Tail until you reach the Squall Falls. Examine the falls to reveal a hidden passage behind the waterfall. Follow the trail to Phantom Lake and head south at the fork by the lake. Find the fishing Wildling who will tell you how to capture the leviathan. Locate one of the 3 spots where the Wildfowl will congregate (west, east or southeast on the lake). If a wildfowl is present simply wait 3 turns until you see a large shadow across the lake. Examine the shadow to fight the Legendary Leviathan, which is a powerful Aquan enemy. Defeating the Leviathan will end the quest.

Number of turns: 200

Location[edit]

The Sevenfold Tail is a fairly long, linear map scattered with 7 waterfalls and split into 2 separate sections. You start at the bottom of the trail and must make your way up to the summit, passing the waterfalls on your way. During The Sevenfold Tail quest the 7 waterfall locations act as safe-points where the gusty wind cannot affect you.

You will need the use of the Road Guide skill to explore, especially as this map contains lots of treasure bags. There are no environmental obstacles on this quest.

This map is also used in the side-quests The Sevenfold Tail and Seven Waterfalls.

The Phantom Lake section of the map is unique to this quest only and consists of a single, circular path around the lake.

Enemies[edit]

  • Aquans
  • Insects

Notes[edit]

  • The Sevenfold Tail map is a good place to gain treasure and money
  • The hidden trail to Phantom Lake can only be used on this quest, even though it is visible on the map if you do the The Sevenfold Tail and/or Seven Waterfalls quests afterwards.
