Cyfreet Boss Guide

The Cyfreet fight will usually have him be accomplanied by a Vicar and another human enemy. (usually a Killer Machine)

Cyfreet's ENTIRE action lists are consisted of spells. Cyclone Sqeeze, Hydro Shield, Diamond Dust, and Prism Light) And he will ALWAYS start with a Prism Light attack on round one. He will heavily favor cyclone squeeze, casting it about 50% of the time. However, on round 1 he will ALWAYS cast Prism Light. Prism light can be a particularly nasty spell since it cause confusion on all of your party members. I hope you've grabbed the Somon ring before you stepped into this fight.

Vicar, as from the canal fortress fight, will alternate between spell casting in one round, and using bludgeon attacks in the next.

Killer Machine is a level 7 human enemy that is capable using a bunch of mid-upper tier sword techs, but will favor a normal sword attack about 20% of the time. His most dangerous tech, fillet, can dish out about 200 points of damage if you squeeze out 19 points of slash defense. You can expect a similar output out of the Vicar with his high end techs too. (His normals will deal around 40 or so damage)

Just as with the canal fortress fight, all of these enemies can be stunned, blinded, confused, paralyzed, etc. So use your speedsters to lay down status lock downs. (Feint will succeed about 77% of the time) The only enemy this will tough against is killer machine, since his speed score clocks in at 23. But given that he's DPS focused, and only has 777 HP, you can probably just burst him down while the rest of the party keeps Cyfreet and the Vicar on lock down.
