"Heartful Tears", also known as "Wipe away your tears" is the most reoccuring song in the SaGa series.

The track appears in:

While the track appears all six of the mentioned games, their availability differs from game to game. In Makai Toushi SaGa, it plays during the end of the Sky World's events where the player acquires the white orb. In SaGa 2, it plays in various areas, but most associated with the protagonist's father dying. In Romancing SaGa 1 this track plays at the bottom of the Great Pit of Bayre Plateau during an event with the Bard. In Romancing SaGa 2, it plays when the emperor discovers Coppelia in the storehouse unable to move as well as in the Maze of Memory central area and before fighting the Memory bosses at the end of each labyrinth.

Trivia

  • In Romancing SaGa's credits, Heartful Tears is incorrectly credited as being from SaGa 2, despite making it's debute in the very first SaGa game. This is perhaps because it only gained it's signature title after SaGa 2.
  • Heartful Tears is the only song written by Nobuo Uematsu to have appeared after Makai Toushi SaGa, and well after the original SaGa trilogy.
