Protector Wind is a devout fan of both SaGa Frontier 2 and Unlimited SaGa.

I am awed by their artistic brilliance, interesting characters, enchanting music and fantastic gameplay elements. Due to my residence on the dark, damp isle of England I've only had access to the 2 SaGa games I already own (mentioned above) but would love one day to own, or just play, the others.

I'm somewhat of a self-professed SaGa Frontier 2 guru at GameFAQs.com and endeavour to share my knowledge of both SF2 and USaGa with anyone willing to listen or ask for help.

Why not check out the rest of my gaming collection at The Backloggery.com to see what I'm playing at the moment, or what other games I have/like.

SaGa History

My first introduction to the SaGa games was back in 2000. I was browsing a PS1 magazine and came across an article about SaGa Frontier 2. I was mesmerised by the brilliant water-colour graphics, and not knowning anything else about the game I bought it. It was my first impulse buy and RPG, having only ever played platformers (and the odd driving game against my brother) and I was hooked. The game blew my away in every aspect and still does to this day.

Years later when I heard of Unlimited SaGa being released I couldn't wait for it to finally come to England. I'd pre-ordered it and spent hours doing all the quests and learning Arts. I started out playing as Kurt and went through all the characters leaving my favourite, Armic, til last. In the end I chalked up over 400 hours playing the game, but was somewhat disappointed to see such a brilliant game getting so much bad press from gamers just for being different and NOT like a Final Fantasy bore-fest. Like SaGa Frontier 2 I still play USaGa today and am still just as amazed and captivated by it as when it was new.

Current Updates

Since my completion of the Unlimited SaGa side-quests, I'm also planning on adding each protagonist's main quests... somehow. Not sure if it should be separate page for each quest, or lumped into a single "[Protagnoist] Quest" page...? Thoughts?

Following on from the USaGa side-quests I'm expanding the SaGa Frontier 2 section with all the scenarios (arranged chronologically). I've created all of them (except the cinematic only ones) but will need to flesh them out properly with all the details etc.

  • NOTE: All updates are currently on hold as my PC is broken and I have very limited access to both the internet and this site. Hope to be back up and running soon though...
