User:Grinding
From raising stats to farming for weapons, there is no doubt that Re;univerSe is a grind-heavy game. Unfortunately there are some nuances that could be explained better but, no worries, that's what this page is for.
Stat Grinding[edit]
Stats/Attributes are tied to a specific Character and can be raised through either Expeditions or Random Increases after Battle. The image below correlates to both of these:
Every unit will have some variation of these auras while in the Mission Selection screen or while being chosen for Dojo expeditions. To put it simply, the more glows that a character has the higher chance a stat/attribute has of being raised.
Expeditions[edit]
Found in the Dojo, these are time-based "quests" in which you can send a Character on that will then raise said Character's attribute upon their return. You are able to have a Character participate in Dungeons/Battles while they are out on an expedition, so don't let that restrict you!
Each expedition has a cap on how far they can raise stats, this is shown next to the difficulty. Easy difficulty will only raise a Character's stats to ~10, Normal will do the same until ~20 and Hard will only raise stats up to ~30.
- Westos Forest (Normal) Expedition is unlocked by clearing Normal 4-2-10.
- Eastern Plain (Hard) is unlocked by clearing Hard 4-2-5.
It is perfectly fine to use expedition tickets to speed up some expeditions as they are not as rare as a resource however, do not use gems.
Dungeon Clears[edit]
After clearing a dungeon there is a random chance for a Character's stats to raise. This is dependent on two things, the current numerical value of a particular stat and each Stage's "stat cap". To put it simply, each stage has a maximum value it can raise a particular stat to, otherwise you would just be able to grind stage 1 ad nauseam until you maxed out a character.
The current trend is to grind VH 4-1-5 as it is incredibly easy to auto and has a stat cap of ~45, but we'll get to that
later.
Equipment[edit]
Another thing you will be grinding for is equipment!
Every story stage (and some event stages) has a chance to drop equipment, ranging from B - S ranks. The higher the rank, the more times the equipment can be evolved. As you unlock harder difficulties it becomes much easier to grind better weapons, it is for this reason that it is strongly recommended not to grind out S Rank Weapons until you reach the Very Hard stages. S rank weapons also have a chance to come with a bonus attribute, which can be either STR/DEX/AGI/END, so you will not only hope for a S-rank drop, but one with the relevant stat as well.
Evolution[edit]
In order to enhance a weapon's WP, or power, you will need to enhance it via the Dojo. When level 5, the cap, is reached: you can “uncap” the weapon, giving it increased base stats and reverting the weapon to level 1 with a star. The EXP required is the same, affecting not much besides generally increasing the total value you get from the weapon. How many times you can uncap depends on the rank of the weapon/armor with S ranks being able to uncap 3 times.
In order to evolve equipment you must head towards the relevant Ruins Exploration to farm Glowstone drops.
