The game was a commercial success in Japan, selling over 1.3 million copies worldwide since its original release, and is now a collector's item. It was later ported to the WonderSwan Color handheld system in December 2002. This game is the first in the series to never be released in America, but a fan-translation is available.[http://www.romhacking.net/translations/2377/]
