Part of the Anibuto tribe Musol Yanii has a strong sense of justice and purpose. In Ventus' story he will join the party if you free him from his cell in the dungeon of Dagul Bos' castle. As Laura he is the guide assigned to showing you around the mines on Vaftom.

He is one of the best characters to give an Axe to as his stats will deal huge amounts of damage, especially if you can spark the "Reverse Delta" Art. Alternatively, Musol Yanii is also built for Melee.
