List of Romancing SaGa 2 spells
This is a list of the magic spells available in Romancing SaGa 2.
Spells are classified in 6 schools of magic, corresponding to different elements. In order to learn spells, the player must build the research laboratory in Avalon, available after the first generation shift for one million crowns. When the player reaches certain global levels of a school of magic, new spells become available to learn in the laboratory.
The strength of the spells depend on the corresponding spell level, the Magic stat and the hidden Logic stat (which can be checked in the scales located in every room of the laboratory; a higher Logic level means weaker magic).
Pyrology
Pyrology spells are incompatible with hydrology, meaning a character can't have both types of magic at the same time.

Terrology spells are incompatible with aerology, meaning a character can't have both types of magic at the same time.
Cosmology
Cosmology spells are compatible with all the other magic schools except Umbrology.
Umbrology
Umbrology spells are compatible with all the other magic schools except Cosmology. Umbrology also works differently than other schools of magic. The higher the character's Logic stats the better the spells.
Umbrology can be unlocked by doing the second Comroon Volcano scenario. One possible outcome is the failure to save the island. A new dungeon will also appeared with ancient tome deep inside. Give the tome to the Cosmology researchers in Avalon and a new building for Umbrology research will be available to the east of the main building.

Fusion magic
Fusion magic are spells that combine two elements. They can be researched in the research laboratory for a cost of 500,000 each, with a requirement of a global level of 15 in both elements for the first tier of spells and a global level of 25 for the second tier. The second tier of Cosmology fusions are locked, until you build the University and unlocked the Strategist unit.
