The Dread Queen (ドレッドクイーン Doreddo Kuiin) is an additional super-boss added in the WiiWare, I-appli. and remastered editions of Romancing SaGa 2. She resides in the Maze of Memory, where she can be fought after acquiring the four Memories (Crushing, Sinful, Ruined, Evil) of the other sub-mazes. Upon defeat, the player will earn the "Terrifying Presence" achievement, along the Queen's Legacy item which serves no apparent purpose.
Dread Queen is an boss of Romancing SaGa 2.

Story
She can be fought only when the player gets 4 orbs and puts them in an altar. That is exclusive to the mobile version.

The Dread Queen is the threat to the world that was fought by the Seven Heroes, long ago during the time of the Ancients. The Queen and her endless army of termites emerged from the underground in pursuit of world domination; while the Seven Heroes were formed by Wagnas in order to defend their people. It appears that instead of being defeated, the Queen was banished and sealed in an alternate dimension; with a gate being placed in the Maze of Memory, perhaps for the time when somebody strong enough would emerge to defeat her. The gate is eventually found by the current Emperor/Empress of Varennes during their adventures in the region of South Longit, and its seal is broken, allowing the Dread Queen to break rampant from her long slumber...

The Queen meets the current Emperor/Empress of Varennes, reacting perplexed to seeing the Emperor/Empress walk directly into her lair. The Queen implies that she will somehow return to the world, to complete her conquest, and even offers taking care of the threat that posed the Seven Heroes. The Queen tries to rebirth the Emperor/Empress into another of her termites, but the Emperor/Empress fights back, showcasing the true power of Inheritance Magic. The Dread Queen transforms into her true self and continues the battle, but is defeated by the efforts of the imperial retinue. In her dying words, the Queen remarks her eventual return, and says that both her and the Emperor/Empress are not that much different...

Strategy
The Dread Queen is not a rather troublesome foe unlike the previously fought Memories. Beforehand, learning the corresponding evade skills for Whirlwind (Kaiser Ant), Corkscrew (Peg Powler), Bonecrusher (Nightmare, Azoth), Twinstrike (Crab Rider), will greatly help during the second part of the battle. These evade skills can be conveniently learned with ease through the Maze of Memory. The ideal team to maximize damage output will involve: An Emperor/Empress with attributes focused on Martial attacks (a Ninja, a Levante Guard, a Mercenary, the Final Emperor), a pair of frontliners with attributes focused on speed (Ninja, Levante Guard, Light Infantry, Armed Merchant), and a pair of fast mages with high firepower (Strategist, Iris). The formation to be used will be Amazon Strike in conjuction with a single use of the Light Wall spell (Terrology+Cosmology at LVL 25) per turn. Armor is not relevant during the fight, as instead boosting status defense is preferred; so any strong anti-status charms (Kris, Somon Ring, Intaglio Ring, Darkstone Ring) are recommended. Any of the rings (especially the Power and Magic ones) found during the Maze exploration will also come in-handy. Skill levels of about 35-40 are more than enough to deal with the fight. High-end techniques (Dark Blade, Prism Blade, Reverse Delta) are obligatory, especially Guanyin for the current Emperor/Empress; while the only offensive spell for the mages will be Crimson Flare (Pyrology+Cosmology at LVL 25). The battle should be over in no less than a total of 7-5 turns, depending on the skill levels of the player.
