==Story==
At the beginning of the story, "the Cat" is known only by the rumors about her performing minor acts of pickpocketing and burglary around Avalon. If the Emperor decides to rest in town for an evening, they will awaken in the middle of the night and be able to track the local thief back to her hideout in a hidden room in the tower of Avalon castle itself. Cat is spooked by the discovery and runs off along the rooftops of the city, but gets cornered by some monsters that had been prowling the area. If the Emperor decides to intervene and save her, she will comment that they have a "soft spot", but that she's grateful enough to help the party out if needed. She says to simply ask the local barkeep about "the Cat" if the need arises.

Cat is spooked by the discovery and runs off along the rooftops of the city, but gets cornered by some monsters that had been prowling the area. If the Emperor decides to intervene and save her, she will comment that they have a "soft spot", but that she's grateful enough to help the party out if needed. She says to simply ask the local barkeep about "the Cat" and then the City Thief/Vagabond class is available for recruitment in the party.

Upon trying to infiltrate the southern canal, the Emperor can seek out help from the Thieves' Guild in Avalon. Asking the barkeep about "the Cat" will lead to the Guild's hidden lair in the cemetery. The Guild requests that a troublesome monster be cleared out from one of the hideout's entrances in exchange for their help. Once the monster is cleared out, the Guild members seem ready to renege on their promise to help, but Cat herself will speak up to offer aid, citing the favor she owes to the Emperor for saving her before. The City Thief/Vagabond class will then be recruitable to the player's party.
