Explanation: In Romancing Saga there's the Jewel Beast. In the SNES it apparently wasn't that strong, but with the PS2 remake, they made him very strong, which I think is in some way sort of pointless. The game has Saruin, Death and Schirach, those are the real ultimate bosses! Jewel Beast is just special with it's special rules. I copied this mostly from Eleinia FAQ:


Normally, the Jewel Beast wakes up at ER 14, leaves its lair at ER 15, and
starts ravaging the Frontier at ER 16. To save the Frontier, it is possible to delay the ER at which the Jewel Beast wakes up, but it is no easy task. First, you need to defeat all fixed/scripted battles in Frontier during the quests there. Yassi Cavern (Two Slimes and Sea Serpent), Saoki Cavern (Two War Beasts, Five Greater Zombies, and Three Butterflies), Vampire's Den (Three Vampire's Minions, Two Vampire's Minions, Three Vampire's Minions, Werewolf, and Vampire). Each cave cleared delays it by 1 ER. You need to unlock  the Jewel Beast's Lair early. There are two ways:
1. Complete Assassins' Guild by ER 13.
2. Complete Aquatic Ecology by ER 13.
Although Assassin's Guild is easier to pull off, but if it's all you'll do then you won't get the quest log (which I did cover in this video, so you don't necessarily need to get it). But you do want it, start the ecology quest before 13 but complete it after 13. But you do need to unlock it BEFORE you get Rank 13 (to clarify, when your ER 13, it still works, but it you NEED to start defeating the pillar monsters and AGAIN, if you return to the city and you get a volunteer brigade member to have "Concoctions II" then you have ER 14 and you failed, the Jewel Beast woke up!) .
ALTHOUGH to be honest, this boss is waaaaay harder when you let him destroy Frontier. But as I've mentioned, he's not as strong as the three evil Gods (Saruin uses some strategy which sort of backfires on him making him easier (without any FateStones)), so defeating him in full force might not be that big of a thing, but this whole unlock thing seems like such a challenge.

In this video I just show the battle. I figured so many people regretted me not showing any full fights that this could please em and I will record the full battles with the three evil Gods, so you guys have something to look forward to.
